December Monthly Giving Update

Karissa Myers   -

“Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the who world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?”

-Matthew 16:24-26

The start of a new year is a good time to reflect on the past year. What went well? What didn’t go as planned? How do I want 2025 to be different than 2024? This then prompts people to make new year resolutions. Often these resolutions pertain to self denial. We as Christians are called directly to practice self denial. This influences many spheres of our lives every day.

Most people peter out on their new year resolutions. So much so that the second Friday of January is called “Quitter’s Day”. Thankfully followers of Jesus have access to the true source of self control. The Holy Spirit enables us to follow the Lord’s leading and execution of our calling. Lean into his power and you can follow Him long past the second Friday of January!

As I look back on the financials for Redeeming Grace for 2024, I am encouraged. Good job church! You have been generous! I pray that you will continue to follow the Holy Spirit’s leading in sacrificing your finances for the good of the church. Praise God he has enabled us to obey his command to deny ourselves. I look forward to seeing what 2025 holds for Redeeming Grace Baptist Church.
