March Monthly Giving Update

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

-Matthew 28:19-20

This past weekend Redeeming Grace hosted a 2-day missions conference called “The Missions Course”. This was a great time to think through and remember God’s purpose through the ages, His glory praised through Jesus among the nations.

However, there are four words that can describe the priority of most people: Savings, Safety, Resume, and Relax. The speaker from the first session, Todd Ahrend put it this way, “We want the blessing of salvation but not the responsibility of taking it to the nations.” However, God’s priority of the reaching the nations is woven throughout the Bible.

One of the speakers, Cyndi Logsdon, gave an overview of the state of missions currently. 97% of the world’s unreached people live within 10 degrees longitude and 40 degrees latitude. This section of the world is called the 10/40 window. Logsdon got to the center of the issue by stating, “The Human Condition is one of Pride and self-centeredness… one of the challenges to following Jesus obediently is making sure that our lives and our plans and our priorities align with God’s plans and God’s priorities.”

Jesus’ command is clear. We are to “go”. The only question is do we “go” there or “go” here. Those of us who “go here” are to also “send”. Anything else is disobedience to The Great Commission.

So what are our next steps? We should be praying! The last speaker, Luke Womack, asked, “What if God answered all your prayers in the last week? How would that change your family, church, community, and the world?”. Please keep The Great Commission on the forefront of your prayers.

Redeeming Grace also has several opportunities to go and send in the coming weeks and months. There is Disaster Relief Training, a Disaster Relief Trip, and 2 missions trips to Guatemala and England. We are also still collecting for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. Please be praying for these opportunities and how you can get involved.
