Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
Every year, Southern Baptist churches collect an offering to send and support missionaries to be steadfastly present among those who have never heard the gospel.
4.6 BILLION PEOPLE ARE CONSIDERED UNREACHED. Over 90% of IMB teams actively engage at least one unreached people or place.
What is the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering?
Lottie Moon was sent as a Southern Baptist missionary to China from 1873 to 1912. She saw firsthand the world’s greatest problem — LOSTNESS. Meeting so many people who had never heard the gospel compelled her to write letters to American churches describing the need for a greater missionary presence.
She pleaded for increased prayer and financial support to send and sustain more missionaries. This challenge became known as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering®.
Our Goal
We have set a goal as a church to raise $15,000 in giving towards the 2024 Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
Need it be said why the week before Christmas is chosen? Is not the festive season, when families and friends exchange gifts in memory of The Gift laid on the altar of the world for the redemption of the human race, the most appropriate time to consecrate a portion from abounding riches and scant poverty to send forth the good tidings of great joy into all the earth?
